A decision on reopening shops in Hungary is expected at the meeting of the operative board in charge of handling the coronavirus epidemic on Friday, the prime minister’s chief of staff told an online press conference on Thursday.

Gergely Gulyás said the operative board was looking into a proposal of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which would only allow one customer per 10 square meters into shops.

Gulyás said such a regulation would be welcome, but “it cannot be estimated how many people would queue up with Easter coming up”.
