Retirees will receive higher pension premiums and one-off pension supplements in November, the Ministry of Human Resources said on Tuesday, adding that the average pensioner will be 30,000 forints (EUR 100) better off in November compared with previous months.
This is the third year the government is paying a pension premium based on the economy’s good performance, the ministry said in a statement.

The elderly, it said, should share in the bounty of the country’s economic growth, having worked a lifetime for their country.
The pension premium will be paid to around 2.5 million people who receive normal pensions and retirement benefits, the ministry said.
