OTP Bank League: Ferencváros Ease Past Debrecen To Go Seven Points Clear At The Top

2015.08.24.

The 6th round of the Hungarian football championship has set a negative attendance record as just 15869 fans (2649 avarage) decided to purchase a ticket for one of the six first division games played out last weekend.

While relegation-threatened Békéscsaba suffered a heavy home defeat against Budapest Honvéd, one goal was enough for Puskás Academy to sink newly-promoted Vasas. Paks was held at home by out-of-form Diósgyőr and Haladás earned a valuable point against Újpest. Title-holder Videoton’s poor run continued after home team MTK converted a late penalty into three points.

Meanwhile high-flying Ferencváros trashed Debrecen away from home as Fradi striker Dániel Böde scored his seventh goal in the season, maintaining the title of top scorer of the league. Check out our video summary about last weekend’s clashes!
