Hungarian pensioners will get an average premium of 20,160 forints (EUR 60) linked to economic growth and an 11,000 forint (EUR 33) top-up pegged to the inflation rate this year, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told a meeting of the Council of the Elderly in Parliament on Tuesday.
Pensioners will get the premium and the top-up in a single payment in November, Orbán said.
He noted that pensioners were recently sent vouchers to pay utility bills as a form of support.
