Prime Minister Viktor Orbán underlined his support for Poland’s position on Belarus at a meeting of the Visegrad Group on Wednesday, the prime minister’s press chief told MTI, adding that at a videoconference of European Union leaders afterwards, Orbán called for the bloc to draw up a geostrategic plan that would contain military and economic aspects.
The V4 countries were in agreement on the issue of Belarus, according to the prime minister, and Poland’s position was firmly supported by all V4 countries, Bertalan Havasi said.
During the European Council videoconference, Orbán said a geostrategic plan was urgently needed in light of the outcome of the crisis in Belarus. This should cover military and economic aspects, as well as policies on human rights and democracy.
