Hungary is well-known about its amazing thermal baths and spas. It is not a surprise the termalfurdo.hu organized the competition to find the “The Bath of the Year”. Almost 200 baths from Hungary was in the competition to be the best in one the three categories. The winners of each category was voted between the 1st of May and the 31st of August 2016 by 190.000 voters.
The Bath of the Year is the Cave Bath of Miskolctapolca:
The real treasure of place is the „lake bath” that has been shaped into Cave bath. It has been excavated and channeled by water from hard bath stone cliff during thousands of years. The Cave bath of Miskolctapolca is unique in Europe, it is an unmatchable experience to bath in the swimming pool covered by nature, that has a 30 °C temperature thermal water arisen depth of mountain, enjoy clear, fine air. The most (up)rising bath of the year is the Szent Erzsébet Thermal Bath of Mórahalom:
Dive into health near Szeged, where 21 pools, 11 saunas, in- and outdoor slides, children’s pools and 4 types of medicinal thermal waters can be found. In the covered and outdoor medicinal water pools (35-39˚C) you can really dip in health. The Elizabeth and Árpád medicinal waters can be used to cure arthrosic and arthritic diseases as well as vertebral diseases, muscle rheumatism and gynaecological diseases. The Saint László and the Hunyadi Mátyás medicinal water have a significant amount of minerals.
The local’s favorite bath is the Aquapark of Orfű
In June of 2016 the aquapark of Orfű opened its doors for the public. In a scenic milieu visitors can enjoy massage, slides, Jacuzzi, several pools and the calmness of the village.
