Dual Hungarian-Romanian nationals and Romanians living in Hungary that wish to vote in the local elections of Romania this Sunday will not be quarantined after their return to Hungary, a state secretary of the foreign ministry said on Friday.
In a video, Tamás Menczer said it was important that all voters should participate in the election. He added that voters would get a sticker on their identity card at the poll as a certificate of their participation.
Voters and children travelling with them would be allowed to return to Hungary at any crossing point between 8am on Sunday and 9am on Monday.
Romania postponed its local elections due to the coronavirus outbreak from June to September.
