New Names of VOLT 2018 Lineup Announced

Fanni Kaszás 2017.11.24.

One of Hungary’s largest music festivals, VOLT, just added new names to next year’s lineup. According to yesterday’s announcement on the Festival’s Facebook page, VOLT 2018 will feature Limp Bizkit, Skillet and Ákos in addition to the the five bands announced earlier.

VOLT Festival, voted Best European medium-sized festival in 2015’s European Festival Awards, is characterized by its wide variety of musical styles, and is a unique experience every year. Hungarian performers include Quimby, Wellhello, Brains, Punnany Massif and Szabó Balázs Bandája. VOLT began as a tiny festival run by two 19-year-olds, Zoltán Fülöp and Norbert Lobenwein. From these humble beginnings, however, it has grown in size and reputation every year since.

The festival, to be held between 26 and 30 June 2018, will be opened by the legendary band Depeche Mode on Tuesday. Iron Maiden will also return to Hungary, two years after performing at the the 2016 VOLT festival in Sopron. American rap rock band Hollywood Undead, English drum and bass band Rudimental DJ Set and English synthpop duo Hurts will be there too.

The rest of the lineup will be announced in the months to come. Early bird tickets for next year’s festival were launched yesterday with discounted prices – but the offer will only last for two days.
