As of today, Budapest’s Musical Fountain, one of the most well-known tourist attractions on the Margaret Island, has a new playlist for the summer season.
The fountain, one of Europe’s largest with 400 m³ of water, is located at the southern end of the Island, in the very middle, just north of the roundabout where buses and pedal-car drivers circle around. At showtime, the water shoots 10m into the air in time with the music, a mixture of classical and pop music, and the plumes of water and water vapour are illuminated by alternating coloureds lights at night, so it’s hard to miss when its performing.
