Varga wrote that they are following the steps and official protocol recommended by the authorities- the colleague was isolated, the ministry was also disinfected, and several coronavirus tests were performed among the workers of the ministry, while the work continues in “normal order.” The finance minister added that “in the second wave of the epidemic, we need to learn to coexist with the virus.”
At the end of August, several government members and other politicians, including Minister of Justice Judit Varga and Gergely Gulyás, head of the Prime Minister’s Office have been quarantined after Fidesz communications director István Hollik announced he contracted COVID-19. Hollik and other politicians attended an informal event days before his results. Following the negative tests of the government members, they were all released from official home quarantine and have continued working.
