Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade appointed dr. Orsolya Ildikó Ferenc as Ministerial Commissioner for Space Research from November 1st, according to the Official Announcements. Her appointment is due until its withdrawal or up to one year.
The commissioner will be in charge to arrange contracts in connection with space exploration, to develop the necessary rules, to prepare and negotiate contracts, to supervise the coordination and implementation of space research strategies, and develop policies for space exploration, and to represent the government in domestic and international space organizations and forums.
The Ministerial Commissioner will be helped with a secretary at the Department of Space Research.
