Martial Arts: Budapest To Host European Kenpo Cup In 2015

Budapest is to organise the European Kenpo Cup in the year 2015.
“It is an outstanding opportunity to organise a high-standard continental cup based on our successes at the 2014 world championship, not to mention that it is an enormous extra motivation for all sportsmen to appear in front of a domestic audience, chairman of the Hungarian Kenpo Federation Ádám Illés Lacza said.
At world championships held last year, Hungary won 33 golds, 27 silvers and 27 bronzes in individual categories, making the country third behind Romania and the Netherlands in combined rankings.
Prior to the European Cup in December, the kenpo open world cup will be held in the town of Százhalombatta, near Budapest, between 6 and 8 March.
Kenpo is a variety of martial arts including the basics of traditional karate and other branches of self-defence sports. Budapest hosted the 11th Kenpo World Championships in 2014.
