Passenger numbers at Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc Airport climbed by an annual 7.5 percent to 7.3 million in the first half of 2019, data released by industry intelligence company CAPA Centre for Aviation showed.
The increase slowed from a 17 percent rise in the same period last year, in line with the expectations of Liszt Ferenc operator Budapest Airport.
Passenger numbers in June were up 9.1 percent at 1.5 million.
Cargo volume was down 15.5 percent to 10,700 tonnes in June and fell by 7 percent to 65,700 tonnes in the first half of the year.
Last year, Liszt Ferenc Airport handled a record 14.8 million passengers, 13.5 percent more than in 2017.
