The exemplary cooperation of the citizens of Budapest has made it possible for life to return to normalcy in the capital, Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony said on his Facebook page on Saturday.
“We must support the smooth reopening of the city with the strength of the community. The strength of Budapest as a community was shown in the way the people of the city set an example of cooperation, insight and fairness,” Karácsony said.
The mayor thanked the citizens of Budapest and asked them to continue to abide by the rules.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced in a Facebook message on Saturday that curfew restrictions imposed due to the novel coronavirus will be lifted in the capital, following the rest of the country with a two-week delay.
