János Stummer, Member of Parliament, announced on his Facebook page that he will run for the position of President of Jobbik at the party’s election of officers congress, Magyar Hang reports.

On May 7, Jobbik will hold its regular election of officers congress. The delegates of Jobbik’s basic organizations will be able to elect officers for the offices of the president, president of the national electoral committee, and national vice-president from among those who receive the necessary number of organizational recommendations before the start of the congress.

Stummer posted the following message on Facebook:

I have decided. I will run for president at Jobbik’s election of officers congress. Let’s dare to make a change!”

Incumbent president Péter Jakab is also running again for the presidency, although according to Magyar Hang there is discontent within the party over the failure of the joint opposition in the elections.
