LEGO has created an online surface to enable people to upload their own LEGO creations – and some of the ideas, including a model of the iconic Hungarian bus brand Ikarus, could hit the shelves of toy store soon.
Ten thousands supporters are required for each project, after which LEGO bosses decide whether to produce the model as a self-contained set.
The LEGO version of the Ikarus 260.04 bus was created by Polish designer Mateusz Wawrowski out of over 1500 LEGO bricks in the colours of Warsaw public transport. The project currently has some 7000 supporters, with another 93 days remaining to collect the necessary 10 000 endorsements.
