Ice Hockey: Kazakhstan Defeats Hungary 5-0 In Kraków

Kazakhstan has defeated Hungary 5-0 on the second day of the 2015 IIHF World Championship Division I/A, held in the Polish city of Kraków today. The Championship is taking place in the city from 18 to 24 April. Previously, Kazakhstan had beaten Ukraine 5-2.

The division consists of Italy, Poland, Ukraine, Japan and Kazahstan alongside Hungary, with the central Asian country considered its strongest team. Hungary had previously scored a victory against the weakest Japan. The match was attended by around 1000 Hungarian ice hockey fans, but Hungary nevertheless failed to score a goal.

The Hungarian national team now has two days to recover from the defeat before meeting Italy on Wednesday. Kazakhstan’s ice hockey team will play against Japan on 22 April.
