Priority List of Hungary’s Vaccination Plan Revealed

The National Public Health Centre (NNK) has published on its website a proposal based on Hungary’s national vaccination plan, containing the detailed priority list of the vaccination.

According to the proposal, only people over 18 with a valid social security number (TAJ) who have not been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 6 months (whether or not they have had a symptomatic illness) are eligible for vaccination. This means those who recovered from the virus during the spring wave can be inoculated.

Hungary began inoculating its health-care workers against Covid-19 using the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Saturday. After health care professionals, whose vaccination has already started on December 26 of last year and is still ongoing, residents and staff in elderly care homes are to be inoculated, followed by law enforcement staff working in epidemic defence, then the elderly and those with chronic illnesses. The general public will be vaccinated last.
