Hungarian swimming star Katinka Hosszú has won three gold and one silver medals at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series held last weekend in Austin, United States.
On Sunday the 26-year old Hungarian posted a 59.91 for the win in 100-meter back, followed by second-placed Missy Franklin (1:00.03) and Kathleen Baker who took the third place with 1:00.04. On the same day Hosszú also won in the women’s 200-meter individual medley, posting a winning time of 2:10.69 ahead of Melanie Margalis who came second with a time of 2:12.67, while Sarah Henryearned made third in 2:12.77.
On Saturday, Katinka Hosszú won the women’s 400-meter individual medley, turning in a time of 4:36.27, while Becca Mann came second-place with 4:39.03 and Sarah Henry took third overall in 4:40.92. Hungary’s “Iron Lady” has claimed a silver medal as well in Austin after Maya DiRado overcame her Hungarian rival in 200 back on Saturday. While the American star posted 2:08.19, Hosszú came second with 2:08.63, both well ahead of third-placed Kathleen Baker ( 2:09.21).
