A NATO air force exercise joined by the Hungarian army’s Gripen fighters has begun in Lithuania and two other Baltic states, the Lithuanian armed forces’ command said on Tuesday.
Participants in the Ramstein Alloy exercise practice intercepts, air to air refueling, and search and rescue operations in the Baltic airspace, the command said in a statement.
The exercise is also attended by the air forces of Finland, the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Norway, and Sweden.
