Hungary’s Agriculture Ministry estimated this year’s wheat crop will reach 5 million tonnes in a statement issued on Thursday, at the end of the summer harvest.
Wheat grown on 952,000 hectares yielded 5.27 tonnes per hectare, on average, the ministry said.

The barley crop is set to reach 1.2 million tonnes as barley planted on 218,000 hectares yielded 5.49 tonnes per hectare.
