Hungary Supports Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership

admin 2014.07.08.

Representatives of the European Union and the United States of America are currently negotiating the world’s biggest trade agreement, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), and the Hungarian government has pledged full support for the agreement.

The TTIP, among others, would re-regulate the sell of GMO food (genetically modified organism) in the EU, invigorate trade across the Atlantic and would help privatizing public services. The Hungarian government is in support of the agreement, but expressed its concerns regarding the agricultural and food industry aspects of the proposal.
