Winter is making one (hopefully) final effort to cover Hungary in snow, after most of the country had been enjoying beautiful spring weather. A strong cold front arrived from the north-west at the beginning of the week, bringing snowfall to certain parts of the country.
The following pictures show the January-like conditions that Galyatető, Sormás, Nyíregyháza, Homokkomárom, and Debrecen faced. Temperatures have dropped, but hopefully by next week spring will make a longer comeback, and the pretty but cold snowy conditions will move aside for at least another nine months.
According to Időkép, the weather could go down to negative three degrees Celsius this evening, but by Friday warm temperatures will begin to return.
