The Hungarian government is sending a consignment of pillows, sheets and blankets to Greece as aid to handle illegal migration, the Hungarian Disaster Management Directorate said on Friday.
Greece’s minister for migration and asylum affairs turned to EU states’ ambassadors in April, asking for help in tackling challenges connected to migration, Spokesman Dániel Mukics said.
The Hungarian government is sending 1,000 bedsheets, pillows and blankets each, Mukics said. The two lorries are expected to arrive in Greece on Saturday, he said.
