Foreign residents, Hungarian citizens living abroad without a social insurance number can now register for jab, koronavírus.gov.hu said on Saturday.
The Hungarian vaccination program is reaching a new stage, it said. Now that 55 percent of the Hungarian population and 92 percent of registered citizens have been vaccinated, they write, the government is allowing foreigners resident in Hungary and Hungarian citizens abroad to get the jab by registering at vakcinainfo.gov.hu.
An English-language registration platform as well as an online appointment booking system are also available for foreigners living in Hungary.
Sinopharm, Pfizer, and a limited amount of Sputnik V vaccines are available.
Resident foreigners and Hungarian citizens abroad will be entitled to an immunity certificate card once vaccinated.
The vaccination of Hungarians and foreigners who do not have Hungarian health (TAJ) cards was supposed to begin in May.
