As we reported earlier, the UEFA considered moving the final and semi-finals of the Euro 2020 football championship to Hungary. Now the Hungarian Football Association (MLSZ) has reacted to the rumors.
The Times reported that if the United Kingdom’s government fails to waive the travel restrictions for UEFA’s VIP guests, they will be moving the Final Fours to Budapest where the pandemic restrictions are much less strict.
Now, the Hungarian Football Association told Reuters that “The Hungarian organizers will focus on the remaining three matches in Budapest.
At the same time, the Hungarian Football Association is always ready to host a prestigious football event. ”
Whether Budapest will be the host of the events is still up in the air and will ultimately depend on the decision of Boris Johnson’s government.
