Armed Groups’ Confrontation Turns Violent in Érd, 13 Arrested

13 people were arrested following a violent confrontation between two armed groups on the streets of Érd. A 50-year-old man died and 12 others were brought into a hospital with different degrees of injuries.

On 30th July at 8pm, a confrontation between two armed groups turned violent on Érd’s Iparos Street. The groups were armed with sticks, metal tubes and knives; and some gunshots were also fired, although those did not cause any personal injuries. The attackers got into a violent fight that lasted for a couple of minutes, then they started fleeing the venue.

As a result of the armed conflict, a 50-year-old man died after having suffered serious injuries, and 12 others were also wounded.

A 36-year-old man is accused of manslaughter by the Pest County Police Department, and 12 others are accused of armed breach of peace in a group. The attackers are now in custody and the police has requested an arrest warrant.

The police has already started the interrogation of the people captured.
