Minor Earthquake Reported in Western Hungary

A minor earthquake registering 3.5 on the Richter scale occurred near Somogyszob, in western Hungary, on Wednesday afternoon, the Kövesligethy Radó Seismology  Observatory of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences told MTI.

The tremor was registered at a depth of about 9 kilometres, seismologist Gyöngyvér Szanyi said.

It was felt by residents living in the area. The observatory received no reports of any injury or damage, she said.
