Opposition Jobbik is asking the government to continue paying the costs of coronavirus screening to Hungarians returning from abroad after August 1, party lawmaker László György Lukács said on Monday.
In line with new regulations, Hungarians returning from countries classified as yellow and red in terms of the threat of infection must stay in home quarantine for two weeks unless they produce two negative test results, Lukács told a press conference. The tests are paid by the state only until August 1, he added.
He said the price of the cheapest test is 10,000 forints (EUR 29).
Lukács said Hungarians returning home from abroad in July and August should be equally eligible for free tests.
