The commemoration of the 1848 Hungarian Revolution is taking places right now all over the Carpathian basin. The official program has begun in front of Parliament, where the Hungarian flag was pulled to mast with military honours in the presence of President János Áder and Speaker of the National Assembly László Kövér.
Later in the morning the celebrating people gathered in the garden of the National Museum, where both PM Viktor Orbán and mayor István Tarlós gave speeches. In the afternoon the Buda’s Castle will host a multitude of family events on the festive day.
