Hungary’s cash flow-based budget deficit, excluding local councils, amounted to 575.4 billion forints (1.7bn) at the end of October, reaching 57.6 percent of the 998.4 billion full-year target, the Finance Ministry said in a preliminary release on Friday.
In October alone, the budget was 271.8 billion forints in the red.
Budget Deficit in 9 Months only 30 Percent of Full-Year Target
The central budget ran a 534.3 billion forint deficit at the end October, while separate state funds were 80.8 billion in the black and the social insurance funds were 121.9 billion in the red.
