As the beach season has started in Hungary, it appears that people will be able to access beaches without immunity certificates, however, certain entry rules and recommendations will still be in place.

The president of Balatoni Szövetség (Balaton Society), Gábor Lombár, told atv.hu that it will be possible to visit pay-to-enter beaches without an immunity certificate. In addition to asking visitors to practice social distancing, owners will limit the number of people to ensure that there is an average of ten square meters for every person. The same rules will apply to free beaches, Lombár added. To avoid having to check people’s immunity certificates, the majority of restaurants have decided to open their terraces only.

The beach season will officially begin on June 12th. According to estimations, prices at most baths, spas, and beaches will increase by approximately ten percent.
