Officials of Hungary’s National Tax and Customs Authority (NAV) have seized more than 70 million forints (EUR 215,000) worth of fake branded clothing from a truck on the M5 motorway, NAV told MTI on Thursday.
Upon inspecting a freight truck arriving from Turkey, excise officers found counterfeit Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Moschino, Coco Chanel and Fendi products in its cargo space, NAV said in a statement.
NAV said it has initiated criminal proceedings on the grounds of infringement of industrial property rights.
