Although the Sziget Festival closed its gates a week ago, with headliners Twenty One Pilots and Foo Fighters performing on the main stage, Hungary Today’s virtual tour of the Island of Freedom continues. In his latest vlog post, Balázs visited the House of Hungarian Music at the world-famous festival. The festival once again dedicated a whole stage to classical music, opera, and jazz. For the second time, the partner of the venue is the Hungarian House of Music, a new institution which will open its gates in City Park (Városliget) in 2021. The stage aims to bring classical and jazz music closer to the public through a diverse range of performances. At Sziget’s traditional classical-opera-jazz stage, featuring programs which will be in focus in the House of Hungarian Music, the audience can make sure that the shows of these top-notch domestic and international performers are just as fun and vibrant as the concerts on the main stage.
