The National Public Health Centre has issued a heat alert, to be in effect from Wednesday to Sunday, the centre told MTI on Tuesday.
Hungary’s weather service said that median temperatures will be above 25 degrees on Wednesday and above 27 degrees from Thursday.
Heat alerts are issued when the medium temperature is 27 degrees Celsius or above for at least three consecutive days.
