PMO Head Attends Requiem for Historian John Lukacs in US

MTI-Hungary Today 2019.06.06.

Gergely Gulyás, the Head of the Prime Minister’s Office, on Wednesday, attended a requiem commemorating John Lukacs, a Hungarian-born historian and writer in his home town of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

The Hungarian government honours the work of Lukacs, who died on May 6 at the age of 95, Gulyás told MTI by phone. It would be difficult to understand the history of the second world war without his books, he said.
