Hungary’s Paks nuclear plant, once its upgrade is complete, will be “safe, competitive and well-functioning”, Pál Kovács, state secretary in charge of the upgrade project, told this year’s Atomexpo forum in Sochi on Monday.

The state secretary added that the upgraded facility will “meet European standards in every one of its components”.
