George Soros Accused Of Bankrolling Illegal Immigration

Ferenc Sullivan 2015.10.12.

Hungarian-American financier George Soros has been accused of bankrolling illegal immigration through supporting a number of Hungarian and international NGOs.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, István Hollik, an MP for Hungary’s co-ruling Christian Democratic party KDNP, said that in the light of this, it is “unsurprising” that the billionaire financier is attacking Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s immigration policies. “The Left has retained its pro-immigration stance despite the national consultation clearly reflecting Hungarians’ opinion that the country has to be protected”, Mr. Hollik said.

Through organisations with connections to him, George Soros does “everything possible” to promote the arrival of an unbridled number of immigrants to Hungary, citing the Hungarian Helsinki Committee, Menedék – Hungarian Association for Migrants, the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union (TASZ) and Migration Aid – all of which have launched attacks against the Hungarian government’s handling of the migrant crisis – as examples. The Christian Democratic politician also revealed that a pocket guide encouraging migrants to refuse cooperation with Hungarian authorities and reject giving their fingerprints in Hungary was also issued by a Soros-linked organisation, Welcome to Europe.

The MP branded George Soros’s call to “pay every single immigrant HUF 4.5million a year and provide the necessary resources from taking on debt” unacceptable and pointed out that the billionaire’s attacks on the immigration policies pursued by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and the ruling Fidesz-KDNP alliance are “unsurprising” in the light of the relevations.
