admin 2014.07.24.

Formula One is set to visit Hungary for the 29th time as staff of the Hungaroring prepares to welcome teams, drivers and spectators, reports news agency MTI. The four-day event is set to start on July 24 as the race starts on Sunday, July 27, 14:00 local time.

Hungarians, just like in previous years, have the option to buy tickets on discount prices, said Zsolt Gyulay, CEO of Hungaroring Zrt. The discount program is called “Straight to the Hungaroring” (Egyenesen a Hungaroringre) as people have the option to buy weekend and daily tickets for EUR 80 and 40 each, with free public transportation to the track.

Spectators from all over the region arrive to watch the quickest open seater racing in action. This year is dominated by Mercedes AMG Petronas F1, while Red Bull Racing, Scuderia Ferrari and surprise team Williams F1 play catch up. The dominance of Mercedes is made interesting by the fact that both drivers of the team, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton are in fierce competition for this year’s championship.
