In the race, Team Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel claimed victory with a final time of 1 hour, 39 minutes, and 46 seconds. He was followed in second place by teammate Kimi Raikkonen, while Team Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas rounded out the podium.

Vettel’s victory comes following his amazing performance at Saturday’s qualifying rounds, when he set the fastest ever recorded lap at the Hungaroring racetrack:
Raikkonen finished .908 seconds behind the German Vettel, while third-place finisher Bottas was 12.262 seconds behind Team Ferrari’s champion. British driver Lewis Hamilton, who also races for Team Mercedes, ended up in 4th place after allowing teammate Bottas to pass him to earn third place.

The Hungarian Prix is round 11 of the 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship. Following yesterday’s race, Vettel is in the first place overall in the overall championship with 202 points, followed by Britain’s Hamilton with 188 points. The race’s third-place finisher, the Finnish Bottas, is now also third in championship standings with 169 points.
