Spring officially began last weekend, on the 21st of March, however it seems that the weather missed the news. The first days of the new season has brought snow to Hungary. Some parts of the country, such as Nógrád and Heves county, as well as the Kékestető were hit by several centimeters of snow, while at Normafa in Budapest, one could even spot people with sleighs.
However, although the snowy weather can be tempting, we cannot stress enough what Cecília Müller, Hungary’s Chief Medical Officer also emphasized on Friday, that the public should avoid close contact and stay home in order to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.
