Frans Timmermans, who heads the European Socialists’ list for the EP elections, is “committed to distinct and radical pro-immigration views” and is “admittedly a confidant to George Soros”, Tamás Deutsch, MEP of the ruling Fidesz party, told a press conference on Saturday.
Deutsch accused Timmermans of “conspicuously often” meeting Soros and organisations in “his network”. Soros is not a politician, he is the national of a non-EU country, he is a “stock-exchange speculator”, still, “the European Commission has recently met him or his lobbyists 64 times”, he insisted.
Soros is “stepping up his campaign” to ensure that “Timmermans and similar pro-migration forces have a majority so that they can accelerate the process of flooding Europe with migrants”, Deutsch said.
