Europa League: Debrecen – Rosenborg 2-3 – Video!

Norwegian team Rosenborg BK came from behind to sink Hungarian side Debreceni VSC in the first leg of their Europa League 3rd round qualifier on Thursday night. Although the Hungarian team played much better in the first half and took the lead after Norbert Nagy’s spectacular strike in the 32nd minute, Rosenborg were able to turn things around after the break thank to a brace from Danish winger Tobias Mikkelsen.

Despite Rosenborg midfielder Pål André Helland fired home a sensational goal from direct free kick in the 58th minutes, Debrecen did not give up on the game and midfielder Zsombor Bódi could score from close range in the last minute, providing a glimmer of hope for Debrecen before next week’s game. However, the Norwegian side still enjoys a one goal advantage with three away goals under their belts and will now fancy their chances of progressing through when the sides play out the second leg in Trondheim.
