By 1pm on Sunday, 24.01 percent of eligible voters had cast their ballots in the European parliamentary election in Hungary.
Turnout was the highest in Pest county (25.13pc) and the lowest in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county (19.39pc).
Voter participation in Budapest stood at 29.06pc at 1pm.Voter participation will be reported next at 3pm.
Pollsters: 4-6 Parties Expected to Win Seats in EP
In the 2004 EP election, voter participation reached 19.90 percent at 1pm. In 2009, it stood at 19.40pc and in 2014 at 15.90pc.
Some 7.9 million people are eligible to vote at 10,277 polling stations across the country until 7pm. Hungary can elect 21 MEPs to serve in the European Parliament.
