When the coronavirus epidemic appeared in Hungary in March, all team sports canceled their championships, though the Hungarian Football Association (MLSZ) vowed to press ahead with its events.

This can now happen with the publication of the relevant decree on Thursday night.

Sándor Csányi, the association’ president, said in a Facebook interview on Thursday before the decree was published that league matches may go ahead from May 23 to June 13.
