Coronavirus: PMO Head Gulyás Calls on EPP President Tusk to Apologise

MTI-Hungary Today 2020.04.30.

Hungary “expects an apology” from Donald Tusk, president of the European People’s Party, for earlier, critical remarks, after the European Commission has declared the Hungarian government’s coronavirus-related measures to be in line with European law, Gergely Gulyás told an online press conference on Thursday.

The head of the Prime Minister’s Office noted that EU Commissioner Vera Jourova on Wednesday “made it clear once more” that the Hungarian measures conform with “EU law, regulations and treaties”.

Gulyás said it was “especially regrettable” that Tusk “is in a circle within EPP that incites hysteria around Hungary”.
