Coronavirus: 12 Fatalities, 81 New Infections Reported in Hungary

Twelve patients died over the past 24 hours in Hungary, while 81 new infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Monday.

The number of active infections went down to 58,969, while hospitals are treating 599 Covid patients, 67 of whom need respiratory assistance.

Since the first outbreak, 806,089 infections have been registered, while fatalities have risen to 29,866. Fully 717,254 people have made a recovery.

There are 7,066 people in official quarantine, while 5,916,866 tests have been officially carried out.

So far 5,261,781 people have received a first jab, while 3,994,595 have been fully vaccinated.

On May 21, the Hungarian government announced that most of Hungary’s remaining restrictions would be lifted upon reaching five million vaccinations.
