Coronavirus: 18 Fatalities and 315 New Infections Registered in Hungary

Eighteen patients died over the past 24 hours, while 315 new infections were registered in Hungary, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday.

The number of active infections went down to 67,312, while hospitals are treating 739 Covid patients, 77 of whom need respiratory assistance.

Since the first outbreak, 805,302 infections have been registered, while fatalities have risen to 29,792. Fully 708,198 people have made a recovery.

There are 7,759 people in official quarantine, while 5,866,214 tests have been officially carried out.

So far 5,227,318 people have received a first jab, while 3,732,252 have been fully vaccinated.

On May 21, the Hungarian government announced that most of Hungary’s remaining restrictions would be lifted upon reaching five million vaccinations.
