Coronavirus: Hungary Gets Favipiravir from Japan

Another delivery of 1 million tablets of medicine with the active ingredient favipiravir, a drug used to treat coronavirus patients, arrived in Hungary on Saturday, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in a video posted on his social media page on Saturday.

Szijjártó said Covid patients with symptoms who take medicines with favipiravir can prevent those symptoms from becoming more severe.

He stressed the importance of keeping inventories of the drug well-stocked, and said supplies of favipiravir are coming from Asia.
