Coronavirus: Surprisingly Promising Numbers Registered in Hungary

Fully 170 patients died over the past 24 hours, while 1,890 new infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Tuesday.

The number of active infections has risen to 251,077, while hospitals are caring for 12,007 Covid patients, 1,440 of whom are on ventilators.

There are 44,172 people in official quarantine, while 4,783,383 tests have been officially carried out.

Since the first outbreak, 691,743 infections have been registered, while fatalities have risen to 22,098. Fully 418,568 people have made a recovery.

So far 2,432,313 people have received a first jab, while 922,886 have been fully vaccinated.

On March 5, the government announced further strict measures.
